Description: Due to our continued growth, Wake Forest Baptist Health (WakeHealth.edu) has multiple needs for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists across our system. We are offering a $10K sign-on bonus and $5K for relocation (if required). These positions have no on-call requirements, offer opportunities for onsite continuing education and are allowed up to five days of paid time for additional education (in addition to their regular BTO).

Our CRNAs provide care for all patients receiving general, regional, or monitored anesthesia. CRNAs need to be proficient at placing spinals, providing general anesthesia, and MAC's and must be able to administer all types of anesthesia to all age groups and any ASA status. They are role models of service excellence, patient advocacy, and professionalism by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals consistent with hospital and department policies and serve as Clinical Instructors for Wake Forest’s Nurse Anesthesia program. CRNAs may be called upon to perform anesthesia in other areas of the hospital, i.e. ESWL Truck, Radiology, ICU. Participating in preoperative and postoperative patient evaluations is necessary.
Our CRNAs must have attended an approved school of anesthesia and be certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification (NBCRNA). They are required to maintain a current Registered Nurse license and CRNA Recognition Certification for the state of North Carolina and must earn above forty continuing education points approved by the AANA every two years for recertification purposes.
